Water bottles explode.
That’s why a glass water bottle explosion was recorded on YouTube.
But it wasn’t just any bottle.
The bottle that exploded in the video was made by the same company that makes the glass water pipes used by the water service that’s the main source of water for about 10,000 people in California.
The company, Pico-Tec, says its glass water water bottles, which have been in production since 2007, are safe.
The water pipe that exploded was in a PicoTec bottle, according to Pico’s website.
The fire in the videos, however, is not from a water bottle.
It was from a piece of metal, called a shank, that’s used in the design of the Pico bottle.
Pico said the shank is designed to allow the water to flow out of the bottle as quickly as possible.
“The reason we have this shank design is so that the water is able to flow through the bottle more quickly,” said Pico spokesman Kevin Culp.
The video has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, with more than 1,000 comments on YouTube calling it “an act of terrorism.”
Some have expressed concerns about the potential for terrorism in the future.
Others have pointed out that the explosion is just one of many examples of dangerous glass water piping that can go awry.
The glass bottle that went off in the YouTube video was designed by the P.T. Co., a company that’s made a wide range of products that include water pipes and pipes for solar panels, according a company website.
In 2014, the company was fined $2.8 million by the California Department of Environmental Quality for using the shanks for water piping.
“I don’t think we should have that kind of technology in our homes,” said Alisa Pecora, a spokeswoman for the California Air Resources Board.
“We should not have these type of things in our community.”
In an email to ABC News, PTC said its water pipes are “the safest available for the use of the water system.”
Pico has since released a statement saying that it has “a long history of safety testing and is working to improve.”
