Everton’s victory at Upton Park earned them a point at the top of the Premier League table.
Here are the key takeaway points.
1) West Ham have been a good side for some time.
It is no surprise to see them climb up the table and have five wins in a row.
This was no fluke as they have won three of their last four away games.
It was a good start to a tough week against a West Ham side who are coming off a win over Norwich City.
But it wasn’t just their first home defeat against the Hammers this season.
West Ham were also beaten by Sunderland, Arsenal and Stoke.
And they have not beaten Everton since February 18.
2) The Hammers have to make their best effort.
Everton started the season with a 3-0 home defeat by Southampton in the first game of their new home league campaign.
That was followed by a 2-1 win at Tottenham on Saturday night.
But this was the best Everton has done in the Premier Leagues first two games at Upton.
They were able to come out of the traps and create chances and have been able to create more.
3) Everton have had a tough start to the season.
They have played five of their first six matches in the league.
And that has been a struggle.
After a poor start to last season, they are now at the bottom of the league table.
They are now without a win in their last seven games.
This is a frustrating start to this season, especially in the run up to the Premier Ladder Cup.
4) West Brom are on a roll.
After scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool, West Brom have scored three goals in a match this season and are now unbeaten in eight league games.
That is a very good run of form for the Baggies, who have been without injured striker Harry Kane.
But West Brom still have two matches to go and there are a number of other sides in the division that could also pose a threat.
5) Everton are the best team in the top flight.
The Blues are top of their division and are unbeaten in seven games so far.
It will be interesting to see if the Hamms can keep up their form and whether the Baggs can hold on to the top spot.
