The garden was closed on Sunday as authorities worked to contain a swarm of the insects, which were causing havoc at the Garden of Flowers.

Authorities said they found more than 3,000 of the cockroaches crawling on the grassy area, the Garden was reopened Tuesday and authorities are now working to contain the problem.

New Orleans Police Department said it was the first time it had seen so many cockroach infestations in one place in the U.S.

The Garden of THE FLOWERS, a Garden of Nature, is located on the French Quarter in New Paris.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and other officials announced the closure of the Garden for a day on Monday.

A spokeswoman for New York Gov.

Andrew Cuomo said the state is investigating whether the insects have been spreading in New England.

“As of Monday, the city is closed to the public due to the presence of cockroches in the Garden, which is a precautionary measure,” the spokeswoman, Amy Shires, told the Associated Press.

The U.N. World Health Organization said on Friday it had warned the city that cockroch infections pose a “public health emergency” because of the scale of the outbreak.
