A new music video from Walthampstead’s Walthams Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has gone viral after the group were invited to perform.
The Walthamps’ ‘Water Dancing’ has become a hit on social media, with over 6.5 million people sharing it on Twitter.
The group were asked to perform at a festival in Walthantown last year, which was also attended by British rock band Blink-182.
The video has been viewed by more than 1.5m people and the church’s website has over 50,000 members.
The performance was staged by the church as part of the ‘Water Festival’ which saw thousands of revellers descend on the village on Saturday.
Walthamp’s local Walthantsmith council were invited as part the programme.
The water dancing, filmed by the Walthammers’ pastor, was part of a performance called ‘Waltham’s Water Dance’ organised by Walthaps Church of The Flying Spacaghetti Monster.
It is part of an annual festival celebrating the life of the Virgin Mary, which is held on Saturday mornings.
